Miqaat (“Miqaat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Miqaat handles information when you use the Miqaat mobile application.
## 1. Information stored on your device
Miqaat stores certain information locally on your device so the app can provide its features. This may include:
Prayer preferences, including calculation method, madhab, city, and timezone
Quran reading goals, reading progress, reading time, and selected Quran script
This information is stored locally using the app’s on-device database and is not uploaded to a Miqaat server.
## 2. Location information
If you choose to enable location access, Miqaat uses your current location to calculate accurate prayer times.
Location information is processed for this purpose and stored locally on your device. Miqaat does not use your location for advertising, tracking, or selling data.
You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. If location access is disabled, you may continue using the app by selecting a city manually.
## 3. Notifications
Miqaat may request permission to send notifications.

Miqaat does not use a remote push-notification server to monitor your activity or send personalized advertising notifications.

## 4. App blocking and Screen Time features
Miqaat uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to block apps selected by you during prayer or Quran reading periods.
Information required for app blocking, such as selected-app identifiers and blocking settings, is used only to provide the app-blocking feature and is stored within the app’s local storage and Apple-approved app-group environment.
Miqaat does not access the content inside your blocked apps.
## 5. Quran content
Quran text is included within the application and is stored locally on your device. Your Quran reading activity and progress remain on your device and are not uploaded to Miqaat.
## 6. Purchases and subscriptions
Miqaat offers optional subscriptions and lifetime purchases through Apple’s App Store.
Purchases are processed by Apple and managed with the help of RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process information such as:
Miqaat does not receive or store your full payment card details. Payment information is handled by Apple according to Apple’s privacy policy.
Miqaat does not create an account using your name, email address, or phone number.

## 7. Information we do not collect
Miqaat does not intentionally collect or sell:
Miqaat does not use third-party advertising or analytics services.
## 8. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored Miqaat data remains on your device until you remove it through the app, reset the app’s data, or uninstall Miqaat.
Uninstalling Miqaat generally removes the locally stored app data from your device. Purchase and subscription records handled by Apple or RevenueCat may remain available for purchase restoration and accounting purposes according to their respective policies.
Because Miqaat does not require an account, there is no Miqaat account containing your personal profile information to delete. If you have questions about purchase-related information or privacy requests, you may contact us using the details below.
## 9. Data security
Miqaat uses Apple’s platform security and local device storage protections to help protect information stored on your device.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
## 10. Children’s privacy
Miqaat is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

## 11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published at the same privacy-policy URL, along with a revised effective date.
